Continuing Education Week

The following classes will be available Monday through Thursday April 26 through April 29, 2010,

5-10pm each night

Medical Gas Refresher, Steve Nickell, Instructor

�� Refresher course in the requirements of ASSE 6010 - Medical Gas Systems Installers. Applies to any individual who installs medical gas and vacuum systems. Installers include anyone who works on or installs piping or components, including brazers. This course will gain you a recertification for your NFPA 99c 2005 Installer card. Brazing continuities also offered during this course. 2 nights, 4 hours each night for 8 hours total CEU. (Monday-Tuesday or Wednesday-Thursday night)

Backflow Tester Recertification, Mike Toot, Instructor��

Refresher course in the requirements of ASSE SERIES 5000-2004 Professional Qualifications Standard for Backflow Prevention Assemblies Testers. This course is for anyone whose tester certification has expired or is due to expire in the last six months or the next six months.2 nights, 4 hours each night for 8 hours total CEU. Maximum of twenty (20) students per class. ((Monday-Tuesday full) or Wednesday-Thursday night)

Orbital Welding� Chuck Tarpley/David Hudson�Instructor

��20 hour course on the operation of the Swagelock machine and certification to UA-18A welding certification. 20 Hours CEU. 5-10pm�each evening. (MON-TUE-WED-THU) you must attend all 4 nights for certification and credit. Class is full. Anyone interested in this course will be put onto a future roster for a class that will be held either Tuesday or Thursday evening in the fall.

Basic Computer Usage 5-10pm each night

�� This course will introduce the plumber to basic computer usage. Course will be helpful in learning how to access the UA certifications website and the SEI Retirement Defined Contributions websites. Class held each evening Monday through Thursday from 5-9pm for 4 hours credit.

NIBCO VALVE and Piping connections

This class is available each evening Monday through Thursday from 5-9pm. It is a one night class. Brad Harmeyer from NIBCO will give this class covering the proper selection and installation of NIBCO brand valves. This class will also cover the proper installation on the "NIBCO PRESS" system.

ASPE PLUMBING ENGINEERING

This one night class is available TUESDAY APRIL 27, 2010 ONLY. Warren Rosenbrook, Henderson Engineering and Steve Reed, Roy Johnson Company will offer this 4 hour class highlighting engineering for plumbing systems and the importance of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers. Class is from 5-9pm, Tuesday April 27, 2010 only. 4CEUS

LEONARD VALVE installation and maintenance

This one night only class is available Wednesday April 28, 2010 ONLY. Sam Dworkin from the Dworkin Company will teach this course that will gain the member valuable knowledge in the correct installation of master and local mixing valves and associated recirculation systems. Class is from 5-9pm, Wednesday April 28, 2010 only. 4CEUS

DWV Piping

This one night class is available Thursday APRIL 29, 2010 ONLY. Representatives from CHARLOTTE PIPE will offer this course showcasing their products for the DWV piping industry including plastics and cast iron piping and alternative connection methods.Class is from 5-9pm, Thursday April 29, 2010 only. 4CEUS
