Full 40 Hour ASSE 5000 Qualification Standard for Backflow Testers

Members successfully completing the examination will be given a 3 year certification through ASSE to test backflow prevention devices. Members will receive the ASSE Series 5000 Qualification Standard for Backflow Prevention Assemblies and the ASSE Guide to Cross Connection Protection Devices & Assemblies Application & Selection. The ASSE examination process consists of both a written and a performance examination. The written portion of the examination will be given electronically at the Training Center the last night of the class. Members must obtain a score of 75% or higher to gain the certification. The certification remains valid for a period of 3 years at which time you will have to take a refresher course and pass an additional 25 question electronic examination. Member gains both the ASSE and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources tester certifications.
Class begins Tuesday August 31, 2010 at 6pm and continues until Tuesday December 7, 2010. The class will be held each Tuesday evening from 6pm until 10pm, for fourteen meetings. There will be no class on Tuesday November 23.

If your current tester certification is more than 6 months expired you are required by Missouri Department of Natural Resources and ASSE to take this course again to become certified.
This class is for journeyman members only and will be confirmed when the roster reaches 15 members. There is no charge for this class unless the member fails to show for the test at which time the member will be charged $115 for the testing costs.
