A Letter from the Training Coordinator
Greetings,
Plumbers Local 8 Union has a long tradition of training new plumbers for the industry and improving the skills of all journeypersons. After eighteen successful years of growth and improvement from Bill Tarpley, the JAC of Local 8 chose me to begin as Training Coordinator in April of 2006. Brother Tarpley put in place many programs and dedicated himself to serving our local while furthering the quality of our training program. From this foundation and tradition I plan to continue.
Advancements in the Plumbing Industry bring advances to the curriculum offered at the Training Center.
Our new website is designed to be very user friendly and to make our programs easily accessible, more informational, and to encourage the members of Local 8 to take advantage of your Training Center to continue your education and skills. Classes will be updated throughout the year and if there is information you are seeking or a class you would like please contact us with a click from this website.
Forms for apprentices training in the industry are also available for download and email on the apprentice page.
Individuals seeking a great plumbing career can get an application online the first Monday of every month as well as at the Training Center.
Have a great 2008 and stop in and say hello the next time you are in the area.
